Antoine Walraevens | Graphiste, Affichiste

Who am I ?

Graduated as a graphic designer at the Institut Supérieur Industriel de Charleroi (ISIps) in 2014, I'm currently working at the Cultural Center of Courcelles where I'm perfecting myself as a poster artist (live concerts, exhibitions, fairs, children shows, debates, festivals, etc.).

Passionate about music and record collector (shall I say compulsive buyer?), I can't imagine my job without music. I draw my main inspiration from album covers and posters of the 20th century, because they revolutionised graphic design, typography, lettering, composition, the use of color, norms and many more.

Musical design therefore is my predilection : in 2015 I got the pleasure to work voluntarily with the Impulse! label in order to create video teasers for their new releases. Since then, the percussion group AkroPercu and I regularly collaborate for their communication supports.

In 2018, I won the poster contest launched by the Jeunesses Musicales du Luxembourg Belge and had the opportunity to illustrate the whole graphic campaign of the 34th Gaume Jazz Festival in Rossignol - Tintigny. My initial ambitions were fulfilled when I create my first CD cover for the Belgian jazz label IGLOO Records ("Soul Voyage" by Michel Mainil - Vincent Romain Quintet - IGL298).

My entourage describes me as being someone perfectionist, passionate, creative, open-minded, ambitious, independent and responsive.
