Jo Scinta Plays Louis Armstrong

New Orleans jazz concert paying tribute to legendary trumpeter Louis Armstrong.

For this project, I really wanted to give a typical New Orleans atmosphere with warm colors. The steamboat, or "riverboat", quickly came to my mind and it needed to be coherent with the 1920-1930 era.
​
The character is a nod to Louis Armstrong : he's preparing himself to go play jazz on this steamboat with his trumpet case (and he's also holding this cloth like Louis used to in concert) at dusk in order to earn money and his reputation in the jazz world.
The name of the musicians is written like "badges" on the case, like a travel suitcase while the font reminds us of a western style, popular on the New Orleans jazz album covers.
